Welcome

The Maddie Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, charitable fund that was created in 2020 to promote mental heatlh and wellness, and to help support people who are suffering from various forms of mental illness, including depression and anxiety. Thanks to the generous support of people like you, The Maddie Fund has already provided over $750,000 of direct financial support for a variety of local and national organizations that provide mental health and wellness programs and mental health research.  Over the past four years, The Maddie Fund has worked closely with a number of these organizations to help develop new mental health programs tailored specifically for local student bodies and their communities.

The purpose of this website is to be a resource for people who have been affected by mental illness. This site provides information about various forms of mental illness, therapies for those illnesses, and links to organizations and other resources that can provide help and services to those who are suffering- and to their families. Help is widely available for those who seek it, and there is much to be hopeful about. In just the past five years, many previously neglected and/or new and promising therapies to treat depression and other forms of mental illness have gained meaningful traction with encouraging results. This site is updated regularly to help you and your family find information about these therapies, and links and contacts to help you explore them further.  There are many, many therapies that are available to you. We wish to encourage you to stay optimistic and to keep fighting to find those that work best for you.

Please be aware that The Maddie Fund itself is not staffed by mental health professionals and does not provide direct services to treat mental illness. Rather, The Maddie Fund provides financial support to non-profit programs that provide therapy and other forms of support to people who are suffering from mental illness.
